Description: Summary

The Department of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to work on projects to investigate Long Non-coding RNAs and Cerebral Angiogenesis in Ischemic Stroke.

 

Description of Responsibilities

Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to publish scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. Also involved in research-based teaching activities to clinical fellow graduate students and undergraduate students. As part of the postdoctoral experience, applicants will receive mentoring for developing research proposals, and participation in career development activities will be strongly encouraged.

QUALIFICATIONS AND FACULTY EXPECTATIONS

Qualifications: The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Neurobiology or Neuroscience

 

The candidate should demonstrate an academic record of excellence and independent research Applicants with a background in Neurobiology, Neuroscience, Molecular biology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology are encouraged to apply.

 

Salary is based on the applicant’s experience and the University’s postdoctoral salary scale.
