Adjunct faculty serve as temporary part-time faculty and are appointed as needed on a semester-by-semester basis. This is a part-time adjunct faculty position.
Job Duties
The primary responsibility includes teaching of college-level courses and/or labs in the qualified discipline, service and support of college policies and procedures, and professional development.
Required Qualifications
Instructor must be knowledgeable in opticianry course content and effective in teaching their assigned subjects.

Previous higher education teaching experience and

Bachelor’s degree in a related science field.
Employment Information
The College is seeking applicants to teach part-time for upcoming semesters. Applications will remain actively on file for one year. To be considered, applicants must have been awarded the qualifying degree. If you are selected for a screening interview for an adjunct faculty position, you must bring an official transcript(s) in a sealed envelope from the educational institution to the interview. Applicants with a qualifying degree from an educational institution outside the United States and Canada must submit a foreign credential evaluation from one of the members of the National Association of Credential Evaluations Services (website: www.naces.org). Scan the foreign credential evaluation and attach to the application, or fax/mail a copy to the Employment Office.

Applicants must submit a copy of their transcripts from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, showing attainment of at least the minimum qualifications. In addition, attach a copy of your certifications and resume. You can scan your transcript and certifications and attach them to the application. If you cannot attach your transcripts and certifications, contact the employment office and we will attach to the application for you. Applicants who fail to submit (or attach) a copy of their qualifying transcript will not be considered further for adjunct faculty positions. If the transcript does not reflect the awarding of the qualifying degree, attach written documentation from the educational institution showing when the degree was awarded.
