• Three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a dental assistant.

• One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

• Dental Assistant certification by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).
• Current Dental Assistant License from the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.

• Experience in or demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and equity-focused working and learning environment.
• Teaching experience at the community/technical college level or demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision, and values of community and technical colleges.
• Evidence of active and experiential learning strategies.
• Experience in assessment of student learning that includes a variety of summative and formative strategies.
• Evidence of active and continuous professional development.
• Exceptional team player who is willing to devote time to students and the department.
• Familiarity with CODA and accrediting process.

In accordance with the Minnesota State College and Universities Vehicle Fleet Safety program, employees driving on college business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
