Position Purpose


The Executive Assistant to Administration will provide executive administrative support for the
vice presidents, chief financial officer, and the WSCC Foundation. This professional and highly
confidential position will assist public relations, communications, and projects management to
help fulfill the mission and vision of the College. The position performs front-line administrative
functions for the Administration Suite, support for academic projects, financial services, and
advancement/fundraising projects. The role requires a highly resourceful individual with high
emotional intelligence, self-motivation, strong verbal and written communications skills, financial
skills, and analytical skills.

 

Duties and Responsibilities


PERFORM ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE FUNCTIONS: The Executive Assistant to Administration will
receive guests to the Administrative Suite and support the needs of internal and external stakeholders
in a timely and professional manner. The Executive Assistant will maintain standards of confidentiality
in accordance with FERPA and College policies, and will assist in collecting data as well as preparing
reports. The Executive Assistant will maintain calendars and communications, support assessment
and accreditation, and assist with project management.

SUPPORT COMMUNICATION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT: The Executive Assistant to
Administration will support communication involving key stakeholders; will develop presentations
and correspondence for internal and external audiences; manage departmental and institutional
projects; organize projects in a systematic way to establish priorities, collaborate across
departments, and meet deadlines.


MANAGE INFORMATION: The Executive Assistant will manage information, conduct research,
coordinate assessment, and maintain compliance and reporting for grants and accreditations.


ASSIST ADMINISTRATION WITH ADVANCING THE COLLEGE’S MISSION, VISION, AND GOALS:
The Executive Assistant to Administration will build positive relationships with WSCC employees,
students, alumni, donors, and external partners. The Executive Assistant will collaborate with
educational institutions, community, civic, and professional organizations and will support continuous
improvement, recruitment, enrollment, and retention strategies to advance student success.


DEMONSTRATE PROFESSIONAL AND QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE: The Executive Assistant
to Administration will demonstrate professionalism and provide quality customer service in accordance

with the College’s values; maintain positive working relationships, make decisions and solve problem;
maintain confidentiality, positive communication, accurate records, and an organized, safe working
environment; exhibit flexibility, willingness to learn, ability to change, and maintain current technology
skills.

Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills
 Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations,
Marketing, or related field from a regionally or nationally accredited institution recognized by
the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
 Minimum of three years of administrative experience required.
