ROSE STATE COLLEGE ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

POSITION: Electronics Equipment Specialist – Events and Functions

Description of Duties: Responsible for timely set-up, installation, adjustment, operation, breakdown and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment in support of multiple events across campus. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to the audio-visual needs of internal and external customers, inlcuing recommendation of media alternative. Maintain a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of the job and demonstrates basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve equipment and software issues. Assist in event set up and breakdown. Ability to communicate with co-workers, other department staff, vendors and customers in a professional manner. Assist with audio and video recording in a variety of event venues. Maintain proficiency with current technology in the area of audio-visual equipment, software, processes and procedures. Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions. While most work will be in an indoor setting, some events may require work outdoors. Varying work schedule may include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours. Interact with audio-visual vendors to recommend services and/or ordering of replacement parts and related support equipment. Schedule and maintain records of installation, maintenance and equipment inventory. Regular attendance mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree or two years vocational/technical training in related field. One years' experience working with audio-visual equipment. Self-starter with proficiency with audio visual equipment including sound systems, PCs, and projectors. Working knowledge of a variety of computer software programs including, but not limited to, MS Office (PowerPoint) Zoom, Snagit, and Prezi. Ability to interpret system wiring and schematic diagrams. Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in related discipline and three years' experience working with audio-visual equipment in a higher education environment.
