Description

The University of Chicago’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a social scientist focused on translational research, psychometrics, and patient-reported outcomes research who will qualify for appointment as a full professor. The ideal candidate will have training and expertise in implementing clinical assessment approaches, which can improve patient phenotyping and clinical decision-making in women’s health. Competitive research space and startup funding will be available. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has world-renowned clinicians and scientists from multiple subspecialties focused on improving patient-reported and clinical outcomes for women with benign and malignant gynecologic conditions. The appointee with have access to state-of-the-art core facilities and to outstanding colleagues, clinical research fellows, and graduate students affiliated with numerous degree-granting programs within the Biological Sciences Division. 

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a Ph.D. or equivalent in psychology or a related discipline, or a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) completed postdoctoral training, and 3) have a track record of transdisciplinary collaboration and funding in clinical assessment approaches and patient phenotyping in women’s health.
