POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking candidates with established, nationally recognized and competitively funded research programs (which include projects with NIH and/or other federal funding) with additional expertise in graduate/medical student education and mentoring, and who have a focus on neurological diseases and related disorders (including, but not limited to ALS and other neuromuscular diseases, Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders, MS, stroke, etc.). The successful candidate will be offered institutional salary and other support commensurate with experience. When applicable, the potential for multidisciplinary collaborations with other departments and schools is desirable.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching duties: Participate in teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Provide Departmental or college-wide seminars.
Research Duties: Perform basic, translational and/or clinical research on neurological disorders. Apply for external grants. Publish in peer-review journals and present research at appropriate external scientific conferences.
Serve in governance, service, and community outreach tasks.

When applicable, the potential for multidisciplinary collaborations with other departments and schools is desirable. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Full Professor.
