Position Summary:
PT Specialist (Gallery Assistant)
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- May substitute the bachelor's with an associate degree and at least 4 years of office experience.
- Job Description:
- This position will assist SouthShore Library Resources Coordinator in daily library tasks.
- Job duties include:
- Provides support to the circulation desk staff.
- Runs various daily reports, updates log sheets in Excel.
- Contacts patrons about overdue items, and processes inter-library loans.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and help with clerical functions as needed.
- Receiving, verifying, and processing library materials.
- Assist patrons with information, directions, use of printers and computers, finding books, and other needs.
- May be responsible for opening or closing the library.
- The job involves some lifting, pushing, bending, and kneeling.
