The research laboratory of Dr. Jenny Wei in The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Post Doctoral Scholar in pharmacoepidemiology to lead and execute federally funded R01 research grants that examine pain medication prescribing and associated benefits and safety among older adults.

 

The Post Doctoral Scholar will lead and execute federally funded research projects under the supervision and mentorship of Dr. Wei. The main responsibilities include writing analytical protocols, analyzing large secondary datasets, developing and implementing research statistical methodologies, developing research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation, coordinating meetings with external collaborators, and assisting in the preparation of proposals to obtain new or renewal of extramural funding in support of research. The fellow also has an opportunity to initiate a pharmacoepidemiologic research project and receive training in grant proposal writing.

 

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in pharmacoepidemiology, pharmaceutical health services research, or related disciplines. Experience in conducting pharmaceutical health services research and analyzing large secondary datasets, including but not limited to administrative claims data, electronic health records, national surveys, and disease registries. The applicant should have advanced skills in SAS programming.
