GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director of Testing and Career Services, the Assessment Assistant will participate in readiness assessment and high school equivalency exam proctoring, the delivery of college and career readiness workshops, and general support of the Testing and Career Services Office. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite applications, web conferencing platforms, and student information systems.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Provide learner-centered student support.
  • Provide front desk coverage for check-in, Zoom Meeting management, and test deployment in on-ground and Zoom-mediated test environments.
  • Monitor and maintain a quiet and secure testing environment.
  • Conduct basic data integrity and input activities.
  • Acquire and annually renew proctoring certifications on multiple test platforms.
  • Deliver college and career readiness programming through the Testing and Career Services Office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the Division of Retention and Completion.

Job Requirements:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or closely related field plus one (1) year of experience and/or training involving computerized test administration, computer program manipulation, or computer operations in an academic environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Web-streaming services (i.e. Zoom, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students from diverse race, gender, age, religious and identity backgrounds.
  • An understanding of the mission of Cape Cod Community College.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working with community college students.
  • Experience working with developmental education students.
  • Experience developing and delivering college and career readiness programming.

Additional Information:


COMPENSATION
: Full-time, year-round MCCC Unit Position. Grade 3, Assessment Assistant with anticipated salary range of $51,653 - $61,668. Actual salary will be consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program including option for membership in the Massachusetts State Employees' Retirement System.
