Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas is an 875-bed, acute-care hospital serving the communities of Dallas County while treating complex cases from across North Texas with advanced medical treatments and an experienced staff that provide compassionate care. Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas is a level II trauma center and a designated as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Texas Health Dallas also offers tertiary services in women’s health, cardiovascular, neurosurgical and orthopedic lines of business.
Southwestern Health Resources (SWHR) was established in April 2016 as a unique partnership between the founding entities, UT Southwestern Medical Center, a public academic medical center, and Texas Health Resources, a private faith-based non-profit health system, based on a shared commitment to create a highly differentiated value proposition in both quality and total cost of care for consumers, purchasers, patients and physicians. A cornerstone of Southwestern Health Resources is a clinically integrated network (CIN) of independent and employed physicians, including the employed faculty physicians of UT Southwestern, the employed physicians of Texas Health Physician Group, and independent community primary care and specialty care physicians.
Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center's William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital and Zale-Lipshy University Hospital comprise a Joint Operating Company within Southwestern Health Resources. These facilities are clinically and financially integrated and operate to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
The President is responsible and accountable for achieving and sustaining positive differentiation of consumer-focused clinical care at Texas Health Dallas, based on consumer insights and research, consumer-centric design principles and relevant strategies, tactics and objectives established at the JOC and System level. This officer is expected to work in close collaboration, coordination and integration with the Hospital Channel Chief Quality Officer; the entity’s Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer; and other JOC and Texas Health leaders to advance the ongoing transformation of Texas Health Dallas in a nimble, adaptable and action-oriented manner. The direct reports to this position include the Chief Nursing Officer, the Chief Medical Officer, Vice President of Women’s Services, and the Senior Director of Facilities.

Education and/or Experience:
- Qualified physician candidates who meet or exceed the relevant requirements for leadership experience (see below) are strongly preferred. Non-physician candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Health Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Ten years of progressive administrative experience and P&L responsibility for an enterprise with > $300 million in net revenue. Prefer five years of experience as a hospital president or equivalent experience overseeing hospital operations or hospital performance management.
- A track record for developing strong, trusting, collaborative physician relations and an appreciation for and experience in partnering with and understanding the dynamics of a mixed model medical staff. Experience in managing physician and organizational conflict.
- Experience developing and implementing a continuous improvement culture with a strong familiarity of process improvement methodologies and systems that sustain an environment of quality and cost improvement.
