$44,338.00 - $69,076.00 Annually

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this class is to perform standard administrative work supporting a functional area within assigned College department or function. This is a contract-funded position.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.  Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree and two years of full time experience working in career counseling or development or case management. Or Associate's degree and four years of full time experience working in career counseling, development or case management. Must have a valid driver's license in good standing with violation points less than five (5).

CLASS SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:



  1. Provide leadership and/or support to assigned College division and/or function.


  2. Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, and practices.


  3. Serve as point of contact for internal and external organizations.


  4. Prepare and analyze reports, as requested.


  5. Serve as an advocate for the College and its students, as required.


  6. Serve as liaison between College departments, faculty and/or staff, as required.

POSITION SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:



  1. Provide initial assessment and continuing intensive case management to students with special attention to students' strengths and barriers to ensure successful outcome.


  2. Maintain accurate records in compliance with state, federal, Baltimore Department of Social Services and Baltimore County Court system guidelines.


  3. Identify and access resources and/or referrals for issues such as housing, medical, mental health, education, work attire, etc.


  4. Facilitate workshops related to employment and life management.


  5. Support the team by sharing information and ideas on best ways to assist and empower students.
