Siena College invites applications for the position of Residence Director. We are currently searching for two (2) 11-month Residence Director positions. The start date for this position will be July 2019.
The successful candidate is expected to strengthen the opportunities for intellectual and personal growth for the Siena residential community. Some of the specific responsibilities for this live-in position include:
administration of residence halls/facilities housing 250-600 students
selection, training and supervision of paraprofessional staff
developing relationships with residents
planning educational and social programs
developing and enforcing policy
adjudicating student conduct policy violations
serving as a member of an on-call duty rotation
participating on division and campus-wide committees
ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds
strong leadership and organizational skills
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work a non-traditional work schedule in a team-oriented setting
completion of a background check
Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field
previous experience in residence life, particularly as a Residence Director
