Job Description:
This position leverages cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition. Developers will advocate the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects.


Responsibilities:

  • Define, design, and implement technical solutions
  • Provide in-depth technical troubleshooting, defect investigation, remediation, and root-cause analysis of items
  • Provide estimation and planning input for projects/solutions/work items
  • Develop and implement testing approaches as part of all solutions
  • Develop documentation for software solutions
  • Follow existing standards for coding and documentation (or set new standards where needed)
  • Carry out other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Willingness to learn new languages and technologies
  • Basic to intermediate development level in, AT LEAST, one of the following skills:
  • Java
  • JavaScript
  • CSS
  • Angular/React
  • SOAP/REST
  • Other web development technologies
  • Experience, or exposure, to ADO, TFS, GitHub
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and Visio
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms, design patterns and best practices
  • Exposure to Cloud technologies (preferably Azure)
  • Knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases (MSSQL Server, Oracle)
  • Networking knowledge (Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP)
  • Personal commitment to Agile principles and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of TDD and automated testing, Understands automated testing, testable requirements, and continuous integration
  • Knowledge of PII Compliance / OWASP standards
  • Knowledge of diagnostics tools (SOAPUI, Fiddler, IE Inspector, HTTP Analyzer, Dynatrace)
  • Proficient in technical documentation
  • Ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutions
  • Knowledge of systems flows, engineering documentation, tools, and architecture concepts
  • Understanding of business systems and industry requirements, and full technical knowledge of systems analysis
  • Ability to work closely with developers and quality assurance teams to create domain models, sequence diagrams, use case diagrams, and operation contracts
  • Experience defining unstructured situations in terms of results and establishing a plan to reach them Experience managing user stories within an Agile software development process
  • Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices, with a can-do attitude Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Quick to adapt to change, is proactive and ability to work in collaborative environment

Qualifications Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering
  • 2+ years of total development experience
  • Cloud experience will be an added advantage
  • 1+ years of web application experience
  • Airline Industry experience a plus

Job Type:

Location:

  • Dallas, TX
  • Hybrid (2 days in office/3 days work from home per week)

Salary:

  • $35.00/Hour (Plus Benefits)
