Description of Work Unit

The College of Business at Colorado State University is an AACSB accredited business school which enrolls more than 3,800 undergraduate students in six business concentrations and is the largest undergraduate major on campus. In addition, the college enrolls approximately 1,500 students in five different MBA programs.

Position Summary

Section Coordinators for the College of Business Online Graduate Programs are hired from an open temporary applicant pool.

Section Coordinators facilitate and monitor the activity of online students enrolled in the MBAor MCIS, clarify course material, support lead faculty and grade student submissions. Reflecting departmental and institutional values, candidates are expected to have the ability to advance the College’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Applicants must have current skills/experience in one or more of the following content areas to serve one or both programs as a Section coordinator.

Required Job Qualifications

MBA or MSBA/MCIS degree or equivalent from a school of business accredited by AACSB(Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International) or equivalent, or earned Master’s, JD degree, or PhD or PhD candidate in a relevant field of study and minimum of five years of full-time professional experience with a demonstrated progression in responsibility and authority.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Graduate of Colorado State University MBA or MCIS program and previous teaching experience in a multi-media environment.

Section Coordinators facilitate and monitor the activity of online students enrolled in the MBAor MCIS by grading student submissions along with all associated grading responsibilities. The section coordinators use the grading key developed by the faculty to grade all assignments. Section coordinators will have input into the grading key and are responsible for applying the key consistently across all sections.
