About the opportunity
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a Student Affairs and Engagement Coordinator to join our high performing team who have been awarded four Vice Chancellor's Awards for Excellence and recognised in the Higher Education sector for the quality of programs they deliver. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the academic, personal and professional trajectory of our students. We are looking for candidates who can bring their extensive experience in project management and program coordination to support our suite of flagship programs including:
- First Year Transition Program
- Leadership and Mentor Program
- Student Partnership Program
- Student Affairs Program
- Student Co-Curricular Program
- Therapaws: Student-led dog therapy program
- Placement Program
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- provide operational support to the Manager, Student Affairs and Engagement across the suite of programs and enrichment activities
- deliver project management and research and analytics reporting
- coordinate communications, promotions and marketing collateral
- provide accurate and timely advice to students including assisting in academic and progression advice.
- participate in the review and development of continuous improvement processes
About you
- excellent organisational and planning skills, with demonstrated experience in managing large projects,
- demonstrated high level interpersonal skills including the ability to build successful relationship with various stakeholders
- demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, with a capacity to prepare high level correspondence, reports and communications in an accurate, effective and sensitive manner
- demonstrated ability to develop, review and implement policies, procedures and systems, including interpreting complex regulations affecting undergraduate and postgraduate students' candidature
- strong problem-solving skills and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload
- well developed negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing skills
