We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead the human resources function at Better Living Foster Care & Family Services. This role requires proficiency, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong understanding of HR practices. The HR Manager will play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment and driving initiatives to support the company's strategic objectives. Full-Time Benefits package worth over $12,000 a year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the employee relations of the entire company while supervising the HR team.
- Actively participate in Government audits and comply with all DHHS contracted requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees to resolve workplace issues.
- Model effective communication and engagement initiatives that support a positive workplace environment.
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Responsible for the HR teams main duties including Recruitment and Onboarding.
- Oversee and assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and selection of employees at all levels of the organization.
- Oversee and assist with new hire orientations and ensure smooth onboarding and a welcoming environment for employees.
- Oversee and conduct Training and Development throughout the company.
- Promote and maintain a positive company culture that is supportive, one that develops employees' potential where active listening and problem solving are applied.
- Identify any training needs and create development plans for employee growth.
- Follow and enforce all DOL and company compliance and policies - ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, progression plans, disciplinary action, and COL/Merit increases as needed.
- Manage safety and health programs.
- Thorough knowledge of company benefits.
- Provide coaching and support to supervisors and employees to address performance issues.
- HR operations including managing employee records and ensure accurate data integrity.
- Track and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and strategize for company growth.
- Collaborate with leadership team, as an active decision maker in the company, and to align HR practices with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Health Administration, or relevant degree preferred.
- SHRM Certified - preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of HR or similar policy/employee relations experience
- Language Skills: excellent verbal and written communication
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws and best practices for HR
- Exceptional interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Two or more years supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Gallup Strength Finders - preferred

Time/Schedule Requirements:
- This position is a full-time position - 40+ hours each week.
- Office Hours are Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
- Alternate work schedule is available after 6 months, but only with approval.
- This position is NOT a remote position.
