A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the research group of Dr. Ping Zhang in UAB Department of Pediatric Dentistry. The research interests of the group are in the areas of host-microbial interactions in the pathogenesis of infectious diseases, osteoimmunology, and immunometabolic crosstalk in inflammation.

Highly motivated and independent candidates with a recent Ph.D. or equivalent degree and a strong background in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with cell culture, molecular biology, cellular biochemistry, flow cytometry, confocal and fluorescent microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and in vivo rodent studies is desirable. The candidate will be expected to independently design, carry out experiments, interpret results, logically present data, and demonstrate success in writing manuscripts.
