This is a hands-on, roll up your sleeves, administrative position - must be willing to work in a busy, collaborative environment.

Position Overview:

The Employee Experience Specialist will play a pivotal role in the Human Resources team, ensuring a seamless and engaging employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. This dynamic role encompasses responsibilities in recruitment, on-boarding, compliance, employee engagement, and wellness programs. The ideal candidate is a creative, strategic thinker with a passion for fostering an inclusive, positive workplace culture and a drive to grow in the field of Human Resources.

This is an hourly position, Monday - Friday, 9a-5p (flexible). Must be able to work onsite. Competitive pay - commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.) Recruitment & Job Postings:

  • Manage and post job openings on various platforms, ensuring accurate and attractive listings.
  • Assist with screening candidates and coordinating interviews as needed.

2.) On-boarding & New Hire Orientation:

  • Perform background checks and manage drug screenings.
  • Oversee on-boarding processes to ensure new employees are set up for success.
  • Facilitate monthly new hire orientations, covering company policies, culture, and resources.

3.) Compliance & Administrative Tasks:

  • Ensure compliance with all HR-related policies and regulations.
  • Manage and track workers’ compensation claims and leave of absence requests.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems as necessary.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Monitor the performance appraisal process

4.) Employee Engagement Programs:

  • Organize and manage employee engagement initiatives, including wellness programs, and employee recognition & appreciation programs.
  • Coordinate monthly Employee of the Month awards and birthday celebrations.

5.) Internal Communications:

  • Develop and distribute the monthly employee newsletter.
  • Update the employee bulletin board monthly with relevant and engaging content.

6.) Support for HR Leadership:

  • Assist the HR Director with various projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in the Human Resources field preferred.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and implement innovative HR solutions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a creative, forward-thinking mindset.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Education/Certifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • A degree in Human Resources or similar field is preferred but not required.
  • SHRM-CP or HRCI certification preferred.
