Potential candidates should have Ph.D. or M.D. degree and strong background in microbiology, cell immunology and inflammation. Practical experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques and animal tumor models is required. Expertise in flow cytometry and bioinformatic analysis is desirable.Position Description
Grant Funded Position. Renewed annually contingent on funding.
Position will be responsible for the project involves studies using human samples and rodent models to understand the impacts of neuron-receptor and dietary-factor interactions with gut microbiota on immune regulation, inflammation and liver disease, and therapeutic manipulation of these interactions. We employ genetic mouse models, primary cell cultures, molecular, and proteomics approaches for our work. The individual should also independently collect, organize, and perform statistical analysis of data generated from the experiments. A number of exciting projects are available in the areas of colitis immunology and algohol-related gut inflammation and liver disease.
