Job Description
Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College is always accepting applications for the following position at all three of our campuses- Minden, Shreveport, and Mansfield.
Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor
***Adjunct faculty in the Practical Nursing program teach no more than 29 hours per week. Shifts are during the day, in person and only when students are in session.***
The Practical Nursing program prepares students to meet the licensure requirements for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), as established by the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners
(LSBPNE). The program consists of classroom instruction, lab practicum and supervised clinical activities in accredited hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:

▪ Instructional Development
▪ Instructional Management
▪ Classroom Management
▪ Student Guidance and Advising Activities
Qualifications and Experience to apply:
• Must be a registered nurse with a minimum of three years of nursing experience. At least one year of nursing experience must have been as a medical-surgical nurse providing direct patient care.
• Accepting both ADN and BSN candidates.
• The applicant must have practiced as a nurse for a minimum of six full-time months during the three years immediately preceding application.
• Must possess a valid, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana.
• Post-secondary teaching experience is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
A valid Louisiana Driver’s License
Proof of motor vehicle insurance
