The chance to be Chief Executive of a prestigious organisation does not often arise – but this is one such exciting opportunity.

As Chief Executive of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) you will drive our exciting 5-year strategy to ensure that sexual and reproductive healthcare (SRH) is given the importance it deserves within the healthcare system, and that our healthcare professionals are supported in the delivery of coordinated, person-centred SRH throughout the four nations. A further, equally important objective for the FSRH is to have a population which is health-literate in SRH and able to access the high-quality care it needs.

Working closely with the President and Chair, you will ensure the FSRH is a thriving membership organisation, overseeing effective governance of its staff and resources, applying rigorous risk management, and ensuring its robust financial health. Your visionary leadership will empower the team and the c. 1,000 volunteers who support the FSRH each year, fostering an entrepreneurial culture within the organisation which will help it meet its ambitious targets.

With a strong track record in leading and delivering organisational and digital transformation and cultural change, you will have leadership experience ideally within a non-profit setting, which might include a similar professional membership body, healthcare charity or equivalent organisation. You will bring with you a profound understanding of the role of professional associations, ideally within the health and care landscape, and be willing to gain a deep understanding of and a commitment to the SRH profession.

A highly influential and strategic thinker, your excellent relationship-building and networking capabilities will ensure you work with our many, varied stakeholders to identify new opportunities and drive forward initiatives that support the aims of FSRH and the pursuance of our 5-year strategy. Experience of overseeing growth at an international level would be highly advantageous.

The role requires a high degree of tact, diplomacy and emotional intelligence, as well as resilience and flexibility. The Chief Executive will inspire trustees, staff and an entire profession from diverse backgrounds. A commitment to understanding and serving the interests of FSRH members is essential.

The role is full-time. In the current context of COVID-19, the majority of staff are presently working from home.

The FSRH is the largest UK professional membership organisation working in the field of sexual and reproductive health (SRH). We support healthcare professionals to deliver high quality healthcare, by providing our 15,000 health members with evidence-based clinical guidance, clinical standards, advocacy and a range of qualifications and training courses in SRH. We oversee the Community Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CSRH) Specialty Training Programme to train Consultant leaders in this field. We deliver SRH-focused conferences and events as well as on-line resources and assessments, e-learning modules and Membership examinations.
