As CEO, you will be the face of QMusic and a highly visible, strategic and hands-on leader, promoting collaboration and partnering, and identifying growth opportunities. You will drive the creative and strategic development of QMusic's family of brands, events and services, and deliver organisational performance outcomes in line with the strategic plan.

The Organisation - QMusic

QMusic is a significant and established not-for-profit, dedicated to promoting the artistic value, cultural worth and social and economic potential of a thriving, contemporary (live and recorded) music industry in QLD. As QLD's music industry development association, the work of QMusic is critical to the success of the State's contemporary music economy.

QMusic fosters collaboration amongst an innovative, inclusive and creative sector, and promotes diversity and inclusion to encourage gender, indigenous and regional participation.

It stimulates and drives growth by delivering professional development programs and major music events, including the Queensland Music Awards and BIGSOUND (Australia's premier music industry conference and artistic showcase).

The Opportunity - CEO

As CEO, you will be the face of QMusic and a highly visible, strategic and hands-on leader, promoting collaboration and partnering, and identifying growth opportunities. You will drive the creative and strategic development of QMusic's family of brands, events and services, and deliver organisational performance outcomes in line with the strategic plan.

Reporting to the President and Management Committee, you will oversee operations, ensure financial sustainability and enhance inclusion and diversity. You will further develop relationships with an extremely diverse range of national stakeholders (government, corporate, industry, community and beyond), and encourage innovative partnerships that showcase Queensland talent and contribute to the Australian music landscape.

Your Experience

Demonstrated strategic and operational leadership experience in music (or a related industry) with proven success delivering to the above outcomes, with complex, large-scale event strategy and planning, diverse stakeholder engagement and development, people leadership and grant/funding expertise.

Remuneration Package and How to Apply
