The University of Notre Dame University Operations, Events, and Safety division is currently hiring for the position of Culinary Service Associate within North Dining Hall. The University Operations, Events, and Safety division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?
The Culinary Service Associate reports to the dining hall manager, supporting the mission and goals of a “Best in Class” dining program. As a culinary production member of a dynamic dining hall operation, the associate will support the daily operations of the dining hall. He/she will complete general assignments related to the service and clean-up of food production through standards of service and hospitality, insuring the Notre Dame community and guests experience the very best in food and service. This “back-of-house” position is critical to insuring all diners experience excellent food production and service and being responsive to the changing needs and desires of customers. The culinary service associate prepares work areas for service, sets up and cleans equipment and facilities; participates in general assignments, such as preparation and delivery of food, trash removal; and is responsible for performing tasks related to the appearance, safety and sanitation of food service facilities.

Minimum Qualifications
ServSafe, Aller-Train and National Restaurant Association Sanitation certification required
Preferred Qualifications
Must have good customer service skills, demonstrate basic level of kitchen skills. Must be able to train other service staff to perform basic functions of style within unit
