Job Description

This position exists to provide logistical coordination of videography projects as part of the Videography program curriculum and as service learning projects. The position provides academic support services to students in the classroom in achieving their educational goals, to promote student success, and retention related to the Videography program. The position also provides key video support to college departments to support college objectives, such as teaching and learning, staff development, recruitment and outreach, and marketing and public relations. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of analog and digital video, audio, and graphic equipment sufficient to produce original multi-media materials.

  • Knowledge of photographic composition, special effects, and camera techniques sufficient to produce original multi-media materials.

  • Knowledge of a wide range of audio-visual equipment sufficient to operate, service, and maintain it.

  • Ability to keep inventory and production records and prepare reports.

  • Communication skills sufficient to provide training and technical assistance to students and staff.

 

Preferred Qualification 

  • Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree or relevant licensure in Videography.

  • One (1) year of experience working as a videographer that included operating camera, lighting, and audio equipment.

  • Knowledge of and advanced use of video editing software on MAC platform applications: Adobe’s Creative Cloud software not limited to; Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Edge Animate, Adobe Muse, Video software; Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Apple’s Final Cut Pro X, and Motion.

  • Skills in human relations needed in educating academically disadvantaged students and students with disabilities.

  • Experience developing, implementing, and analyzing alternate instructional materials and methods to meet students learning needs.

  • Knowledge of college policies, programs, and curriculum to develop guidelines and goals with students.

  • Organizational and record keeping skills related to documentation of services provided.

  • Ability to work in a team environment that supports students.
