Work with a great team in the Human Resources department at the reception desk providing excellent customer service. The Specialist will be a first point of contact for the department.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Greet incoming visitors, students, applicants and employees. Answer basic paperwork questions.
Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate area.
Track in-coming paperwork.
Respond to general and applicant questions.
Complete special projects.
Answer phone, track paperwork and
Assist applicants with online application and attaching documents.
Work on other project as needed.
Filing and other general office duties.
Maintain work rooms with supplies, cleanliness and organization.
Human Resources and/or Higher education work experience.
Office setting experience
Afternoon availability (12:00 pm to 4:30 pm)
High School or GED equivalent.

Excellent customer service
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
Demonstrate strong initiative, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities
Attention to details, thoroughness and accuracy in composing, typing and proofreading materials
Knowledge and practical use of Microsoft office production (Work, Excel and Outlook).
Ability to operate standard office equipment including, computers (including several computer programs), fax, copier, multi-line phone system.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
