DESCRIPTION

The Doula Program manager oversees the activities of the Volunteer Hearts and Hands Doula Program. The program currently has 50 volunteers in various levels of organizational tenure. The manager directly trains, orients, and onboards the new doula volunteers by hosting recurring classes on labor support. The manager must ensure the program operations are meeting the requests of laboring patients for onsite doula support through innovative staffing models. Additionally, the Doula Manager partners with Nursing Leadership to assist teaching labor support classes for staff and providers to ensure the labor support techniques are achieving the quality outcome goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires clinical licensure or Doula certification.
  • Five (5) or more years of strong general clinical knowledge in program management, care coordination, and significant expertise in labor support.
  • Ability to receive a high volume of referrals and make appropriate recommendations or arrangements for support services and programs.
  • Strong general clinical knowledge in a variety of modalities, or significant expertise in a specialty area. Ability to assess patient needs and make appropriate referrals for ancillary support services and programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • CA RN license.
  • Experience with grant writing.
  • Certified lactation consultant.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $101,200 - $192,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $48.47 - $92.05

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
