Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Plant-Inventory Control Accountant is responsible for using independent judgment to determine the fund source for payment, creating project accounts, establishing project budgets, transferring funds, along with monthly reconciliation of various funding sources. They will work collaboratively on the purchase tracking of fixed assets and will prepare timely assigned balance sheet reconciliation. They will be responsible for leading the annual inventory (asset) verification process and for the timely preparation of monthly journal entries.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with a  major/concentration in accounting, business, or finance.

Experience:
  • Five years of accounting experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem solve and make decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to deliver excellent service to customers.
  • Proven record of prioritizing ongoing and new projects, as well as dynamic ability to take on new challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Preferences:

Preferences:
  • Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control practices.
  • Experience with Workday or any ERP system.

Additional Information:

Target Hiring range $79,080 – 98,850. The salary range will be commensurate to the experience level of the applicant.
