Sr. Financial Analyst

San Diego, CA / Hybrid

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning & analysis as part of the Global Corporate Planning team. Key tasks include business analysis, reporting, analyzing key trends and recommending potential strategies to management to ensure that we achieve our financial and non-financial targets.

What you'll be doing:
  • Provide budget, forecast, and mid-range planning support for global divisions as financial business partner:
  • Work with partners to prepare and review bottom-up Budget/Forecast.
  • Analyze data - provide recommendations, challenge assumptions.
  • Review data at the cost center and consolidated function level / leadership team as needed. Ensure data integrity of submission. Understand key business drivers of the global division.
  • Build Budget presentation materials and monthly financial reporting.
  • Lead monthly financial review meetings with budget owners. Proactively identify items that impact the global division forecast. Ensure accountability.
  • Perform g/l analysis and work with purchasing team and business to prepare monthly journal entries for Accounting Dept. (accruals, reclasses, recharges, amortizations, and intercompany transfers).
  • Support our overall annual (budget, mid-range plan), quarterly and monthly forecasting processes. Support the consolidation process.
  • Develop thoughtful analysis and deliver key insights that support strategic decision making. Perform ad-hoc analysis and develop financial models, ex: gap and trend analysis, risks and opportunities, ROI, others.
  • Prepare consolidated reporting for HC, OPEX, CapEx / fixed asset tracking, and other KPI's.
  • Liaison between regional business teams and global/regional CP, Accounting, and Finance teams.
  • Work closely with the Accounting to ensure the month end results are easily understood and data is shared between teams in a collaborative manner.
  • Recommend ways to automate reporting and streamline processes. Support globalization efforts.
What we are looking for:
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills across various levels including senior leadership.
  • Takes initiative and ownership to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver against ambitious timelines.
  • Sophisticated proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge/understanding of accounting and financial statements.
  • Strong curiosity about internet and/or media & entertainment industries.
  • Minimum 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • SAP, Workday, and/or Adaptive experience a plus.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$127,000$190,600 USD
