We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative Human Resources Director, who will leverage hands-on HR experience and strong business acumen to meet the strategic Human Resources and Organizational Development needs of our organization. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborating closely with the site leaders, this position is a perfect opportunity for an accomplished HR professional who wants to take the lead of the HR function in a rapidly growing organization. This position will be responsible for multiple sites across the United States.

INITIATIVES YOU WILL CHAMPION:

General HR Responsibilities:

  • Administer programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the teams with the strategic goals of the company.
  • Champion the Company’s Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Develop strong partnerships with all plant managers.
  • Manage all plant employee concerns or issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Develop and maintain the HR metrics dashboard.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Evaluate all plant positions to develop appropriate job descriptions and staffing strategies.
  • Review and manage the talent acquisition process including job advertising, candidate selection, job offer, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews upon plant employee departures.

Training:

  • Manage, support, and track company training requirements.
  • Create and administer employee training.

Employee Relations:

  • Manage all employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive environment and promote a high level of employee engagement.
  • Monitor performance feedback programs and performance improvement plans, providing input for process improvements to support Company objectives.
  • Support the safety team regarding implementation of company safety and health programs. Monitor the tracking of OSHA-required data.
  • Develop and manage Company initiatives to maintain a high level of morale including event planning for companywide events, department retreats, employee recognition events, and coordinating community service initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development and a minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions.
  • Proven ability to manage a team of HR professionals – across multiple facilities
  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, benefits administration, recruitment, organization development, union negotiations, employee relations, and training. Experience in California is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship-building and employee coaching skills.
  • Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in at least one Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Experience in a manufacturing/plant environment is strongly preferred.
  • HRCI or SHRM Certification is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
