EDFR is seeking a passionate and self-driven Software Engineer who enjoys taking on new challenges using the latest web, mobile and cloud technologies. You love coding and find yourself keeping up with the latest technology trends. You tinker, explore and regularly read to stay in touch with the development community and are curious about discovering ways to improve quality, reusability, extensibility and consistency. You are multi-faceted with a great mix of technical and interpersonal skills, which enables you to succeed in highly collaborative and agile work environments.

Design and deploy solution-based, outcome-oriented products while embedded with a highly skilled team of software engineers at the world's top renewable energy company.

Working Conditions:

95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors' and/or internal customers' sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.

Education and Desired Experience:

• BS in Computer Science or relevant experience
• 5+ years of developing software solutions
• Experience or willingness to learn:

• A managed language (.NET Core, JVM based, BEAM VM)
• Dynamic scripting languages, Javascript, Typescript, Python
• AngularJS
• Node.js
• Unit testing with Karma, Jasmine, Jest
• Messaging brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Serverless services - AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, and Microsoft Azure, or other serverless technologies
• SQL Database design - MySQL, Postgres, SQLite, SQL Server
• NoSQL Databases - Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or other NoSQL
• Container technologies - Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
• GitOps CI/CD, TDD (Test Driven Development) and other automation
• Agile methodologies and practices
• Multi-platform software utilizing various programming environments and tools

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to view video display terminal images < 18" away from face for extended periods of
• time - up to four (4) hours at a time.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and telephone.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time - up to four (4) hours at a time.
• Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds.

This role's annual base salary range is between $102,500 and $171,000.
