Additionally, our Technology Center for Hemostasis and Blood Gas Reagents is in Orangeburg, NY, and our Technology Center for Whole Blood Hemostasis is in San Diego, CA.

Position Summary:

The Material Handler physically receives, disperses, and maintains inventory within the stockroom and warehouse areas.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Supply raw materials to assembly departments in accordance with work order and inventory request requirements.
  • Adhere to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) policy and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Verify all material being moved for accuracy of part number, lot and/or serial numbers, and quantity.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records; perform data entry required for inter-department transfers of finished goods, raw materials, and pick parts on work orders.
  • Prepare shipments for outside processing or transfer to other locations in accordance with daily shipment requests.
  • Maintain a constant and timely flow of finished goods for external shipping.
  • Ensure compliant handling and storage conditions for all materials.
  • Perform routine cycle counting activities as required.
  • Actively participate in annual physical inventory as required.
  • Loads and unload trucks of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Identify line issues and other warehouse problems; promptly notify Team Leader or Supervisor of all problems.
  • Support all efforts and procedures to maintain optimal warehouse conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required, in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all related SOPs.
  • Maintain safe working conditions at all times; adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure warehouse and related areas are continually kept clean. S
  • upport efforts to prevent mix-up of products, materials, and other items so cycle and inventory counts are continually accurate.
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with the Company's quality system requirements through training and adherence to policies, procedures and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experiance:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) to two (2) years previous related warehouse experience; previous experience in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
  • Understanding of inventory and FIFO practices.
  • Familiarity with GDP and GMP a plus.
  • Basic computer competency; working knowledge of MS Office and experience with larger Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system a plus.
  • Basic math, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Forklift experience a plus.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
