The Enterprise Security Architect performs a variety of technical and non-technical functions. This position has direct contact with a variety of company employees.

Normally receives minimal instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Develop/integrate cybersecurity designs for systems and networks with multilevel security requirements or requirements for the processing of multiple classification levels of data

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work across teams, and internal customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, related policies/procedures, and advise implementation teams during deployment.
  • Build and maintain technical relationships with managers of the organization and technology providers by leading and facilitating technology discussions and aligning solutions with company needs.
  • Act as subject matter expert providing technical expertise and consultation across the company.
  • Document and address organization's information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition life cycle.
  • Employ secure configuration management processes.
  • Ensure that acquired or developed system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with organization's cybersecurity architecture guidelines.
  • Identify and prioritize critical business functions in collaboration with organizational stakeholders.
  • Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and develop a security risk management plan.
  • Test, evaluate, and recommend new and emerging technologies for consideration and adoption into the enterprise environment; lead the implementation of new technologies and procedures for technology systems.
  • Make recommendations to senior management based on deep technical expertise and knowledge.
  • Define and document how the implementation of a new system or new interfaces between systems impacts the security posture of the current environment.
  • Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition documents.
  • Determine the protection needs (i.e., security controls) for the information system(s) and network(s) and document appropriately.
  • Mentor and train staff, ensuring they are up to speed on critical processes and technologies related to the Technology and Infrastructure organizations' goals and soft skills needed to succeed.
  • Act in a lead capacity to lower level technical staff.
  • Guide the selection, implementation, and deployment processes for new technology rollouts.
  • Provides technical expertise to internal/external teams. Works closely with vendors at technical level, ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Provides Tier 4 support for escalated service desk tickets following established protocols and mentorship to the Networking Team.
  • Make assessments, recommendations or provide solutions to resolve issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience required with Enterprise Cisco Catalyst switches; Cisco ISR routers; routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP); TCP/IP; DNS; VLANs; VPNs; QoS; IPSEC; RADIUS; two-factor and single sign-on authentication.
  • Required expertise in the design of Wide/Metro/Local Area Networks (WAN/MAN/LAN), MDFs (Main Distribution Frame) and IDFs (Intermediate Distribution Frame).
  • Must possess at least one Professional level certification in Cisco Networking or 10+ years of experience in related Network Engineer position.
  • Occasional travel up to 30%.
  • CCIE/CCNP certification; Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco ASA/FirePower, Cisco Nexus experience is a plus.
  • Experience in network migrations consisting of 3000+ nodes is a plus.
  • Financial Service Industry experience preferred.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary or pay for this position is $110,483.12 to $165,724.68. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. A discretionary bonus and/or business line incentive may be provided, in addition to a medical and other benefits, dependent on the position.
