What You'll Do

Teradata is looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to manage projects within the Information Security department. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual, a self-starter with the ability to ensure the success of Information Security projects through effective execution and delivery, requiring minimal oversight. In this role, you will actively contribute to the management of the security department's operations, demonstrating strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks within given deadlines. Your responsibilities will include tracking the status of security projects and individual teams, employing Agile-like best practices, collaborating with partners across the company to ensure project completion, monitoring budgeting, and effectively communicating with stakeholders. Your contribution will be crucial in measuring the success of various initiatives.

In this role you will..

  • Lead Infosec project delivery by ensuring the integrated solution meets the success criteria. Address project issues and risks, and foster commitment withing the delivery team and business partners
  • Own the coordination of project activities and resources across the organization in a manner that enhances efficiency.
  • Oversee the mitigation of identified gaps for required certifications and collaborate effectively in business partner relationships when defining business requirements and success criteria.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, IT, Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders on requirements, exhibiting critical thinking by anticipating outcomes and direction in situations involving multiple business owners and solutions.
  • Utilize consultative problem-solving, employing technical and business acumen to inform the facilitation of developing objectives and approach.
  • Execute goal setting and alignment with business owners, contributing to operational alignment.
  • Be recognized as an authority by partners within InfoSec and across the business, employing a communication style that instills confidence and alignment with the team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, performance, and accountability
  • Be a Security and Compliance Champion that promotes and evangelizes awareness of different security and compliance risks and best practices across the company.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Who You'll Work With

We primarily consist of a U.S. based group within the PMO, representing a global Information Security Organization. This organization is composed of senior engineers and architect professionals who collaborate with other senior IT professionals from adjacent disciplines such as Server, Storage, Cloud, InfoSec, and Desktop. The ideal candidate should have experience in navigating complex situations and managing cross-functional initiatives that span across the company. This position reports to the Manager of the PMO within the Information Security Department.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5 years equivalent experience; Project Management focus preferred.
  • Understanding of security methodologies or the willingness to learn required.
  • PMP certification or equivalent experience.
  • Cyber-Security Minded

  • Demonstrated proficiency in collaborative work and communication within a virtual environment is essential.
  • The capability to navigate a complex landscape where key stakeholders may not align on approaches is crucial, and collaborative problem-solving skills are considered a strong asset.
  • A desirable qualification includes a comprehension of security standards, frameworks, rules, and regulations, as well as system trust principles, such as FedRAMP, FIPS, ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, SANS Top 20, PCI-DSS, SOX-404, CSA Star, ITIL, and SOC2.
  • The ability to discern patterns from large amounts of disparate information while remaining adaptable in rapidly changing situations and environments.
  • Proficiency in the Atlassian suit at an intermediate to advance level and competence in computer terminal and personal computer operation, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, coupled with exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, are prerequisites. The candidate should possess the ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on both short-term and long-term basis.
  • Ability to make informal and formal presentations, both within and outside the organization, and be comfortable speaking before assigned teams or other groups as needed.
  • An additional valuable attribute is the ease in delivering formal presentations to executive and C-suite level leadership.
  • The ability to address complex challenges involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations is essential. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to work with little to no supervision while efficiently performing duties.
