Job Description
SUPERVISOR, STUDENT MENTAL HEALTH AND COUNSELING AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, MIT Health, to provide day-to-day oversight of patient services portions of the service areas. Will be responsible for supervising patient service representatives and ensuring that each patient’s experience is positive and that patient flow and appointment scheduling is completed accurately and efficiently; overseeing people in highly visible positions who have extensive patient contact, both in person and by telephone; and prioritizing, sequencing, and executing administrative tasks, including managing the clinic’s master and on-call schedules, after hours protocols, provider and potentially other staff requests for vacation and other time off, and the logistics of onboarding of new hire; providing back-up to the senior operations manager as it relates to administrative project work or interactions with venders and/or other external stakeholders; and serving as a principal resource on all operational matters for assigned area. May also act as a consultant to other service areas on operational matters.

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; three years of experience in healthcare, administration, business, or other relevant discipline; proven ability to coach and develop others; self-direction and proactivity; and ability to make independent decisions and work with minimal direction while keeping management informed and escalating issues as needed.
