Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of HRIS and Compensation and the Senior Manager of Benefits, the Benefits/HRIS Analyst is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the tuition remission program, ensuring its efficient operation, and providing exemplary customer service to employees and their dependents who seek educational opportunities.

 

The Benefit Analyst is also responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data management, reporting, and analysis for all benefit related programs.

 

Essential Functions         

Tuition Remission Administration:

  • Performs the day-to-day activities relating to processing of the tuition remission benefit.
  • Communicates with employees and managers/supervisors regarding tuition remission eligibility and ensures that all parties are aware of their responsibilities and the process for applying for tuition remission benefits.
  • Performs data entry in University’s systems of record to update tuition remission related data.
  • Conducts regular audits of tuition remission awards to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Works with the Payroll Services team for accurate and timely processing of tuition remission related taxes.
  • Monitors the tuition remission email, researches inquiries, resolves issues and responds to all inquiries in a timely manner.

Benefits/HRIS Administration:

  • Manages and maintains benefit related data in the HRIS database, including data entry and performing quality assurance.
  • Analyzes benefits, enrollment trends and contributions to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborates with HR, payroll, and finance to reconcile benefits-related data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assists with the administration of other benefits/HRIS programs and processes.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience         

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in benefit administration.

 

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills       

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Pivot).
  • Strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of benefit/HRIS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information are essential for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively resolve conflicts.
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Professional HR certifications, including Society of Human Resources Management: Senior/Professional in Human Resources (SPHR/PHR), Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP/CP); Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)

 

Minimum Starting Salary: $65,000

 

Maximum Starting Salary: $70,000
