Position Summary

 

Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 based on ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule C-3 and experience

The Director of Outcomes Assessment functions as part of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. The director will promote continuous improvement, student success, and commitment to excellence through the facilitation of campus-wide assessment and accreditation processes. This position will lead the instructional and service unit outcomes assessment processes and work collaboratively with college stakeholders to coordinate comprehensive external and internal program review. The director is also responsible for leading data collection and reporting for both college-wide and program specific accreditation. This position reports to the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Assisting with the facilitation of both the service unit outcomes assessment process and the instructional outcomes assessment process which includes determining requirements, setting due dates, consulting, evaluating reports, writing summary reports, and providing feedback.
  • Consulting with faculty and staff across the college to identify appropriate outcomes and assessment measures for service unit and instructional unit assessment.
  • Reading and responding to instructional and service unit assessment reports.
  • Chairing the Instructional Program Review Board and Service Unit Review Board.
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accreditation requirements and program specific accrediting bodies for accreditation and assessment.
  • Producing descriptive-level data needed to advance assessment work at the unit and program level.
  • Assisting in the design and implementation of the QEP assessment plan in collaboration with the QEP Committees.
  • Developing reports and presentations for a variety of audiences including full reports, executive summaries, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Designing assessment instruments including questionnaires, surveys, and rubrics
  • Conducting quantitative data analysis on test data, rubric data, survey data, and student retention and graduation data
  • Assisting in and serving on campus-wide assessment committees.
  • Developing and delivering assessment training sessions, workshops, and seminars for faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Creating and managing surveys and forms using the college survey software system.
  • Planning and assisting as needed with external and internal comprehensive program reviews including assistance with creating schedules, working with programs to develop review documents, and other support as needed. Ensuring all steps of the process are completed including meetings prior to the review, during the review, and post review sessions and documentation.
  • Aiding in the support of and maintenance of an assessment software application.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

Education: Master’s degree required. A Master’s degree in Assessment or a related field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year of full-time related work experience required. One year of full-time experience working with outcomes assessment preferred.
