Additional Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with MS Office applications, good communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with introductory biology and physiology laboratory experiences.

Duty/Responsibility

Prepare reagents, cell cultures, and miscellaneous lab supplies for anatomy, biology, and physiology laboratories.

Aid in the offering of instructional activities in biology and related teaching laboratories.

Duty/Responsibility

Assume responsibility for assigned teaching laboratories through routine maintenance, simple equipment calibrations and repairs, stocking consumable laboratory supplies, waste removal, and glassware washing.

Provide supervision and oversight of graduate teaching assistants and undergraduate lab assistants assigned to laboratory courses, including training on use of equipment, teaching lab instructional methods, and ensuring consistency of assessing student performance.

Duty/Responsibility

Responsibility for maintenance of autoclaves in Rudman and Spaulding. Provide periodic training for faculty, staff, and students in proper operation of autoclaves.

Ensure compliance for all EH&S policies for laboratory safety.

Maintain an inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies. Set up and break-down of equipment used in teaching laboratory.
