Job Summary:


The Senior Yield Management Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing yield management strategies to optimize revenue, pacing and pricing across our various owned channel advertising inventory and campaigns. This role requires a deep understanding of advertising pricing strategies, data analysis, and the ability to implement strategies that align with our company's financial objectives while optimizing vendor ROAS and campaign performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Yield Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement owned channel advertising yield management strategies that align with business goals, vendor requirements and market conditions.

  • Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies for different ad types and placements, considering traffic forecasts, inventory availability, market demand, competitive landscape, and revenue goals. This involves dynamic pricing models that take into account various factors, such as demand, audience targeting and ad placement.

  • Forecast & Budgeting: Create and maintain accurate ad demand forecasts for our onsite channels including Petco.com, Petco App and othered owned channels to inform pricing and inventory decisions. Track pacing against financial targets across all ad campaigns

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and optimize ad placement inventory availability across our owned channels to ensure maximum yield and utilization, balancing supply and demand forecasts

  • Data Analysis: Analyze historical data, market trends, and competitive pricing to make data-driven decisions on ad pricing and inventory management.

  • Product / Tech Capabilities: Work closely with business and product teams to help identify revenue growth opportunities as well as factor in future launches that will help inform pricing rates & inventory availability

  • Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive pricing strategies, and emerging technologies to inform pricing decisions.

  • Pricing Tools: Utilize pricing and revenue management tools and software to support pricing decisions and optimizations.

  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with account management team to negotiate and manage pricing agreements with vendors based on performance and yield management strategy

  • Reporting and KPIs: Define and monitor KPIs related to revenue, yield, and pricing performance, and provide insights and recommendations for improvements.

  • Collaboration: With various cross-functional retail media and business stakeholders, including sales, marketing, data science/analytic teams and align strategies to achieve common goals/objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Data Science / Analytics, Finance, or a business-related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

  • 7+ years of experience in yield management, revenue management, or pricing strategy related roles.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with proficiency in data analysis and revenue management software.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective yield management strategies.

  • Proficiency in revenue management tools and software.

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

$87,100.00 - $130,700.00
