Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the administrative, academic and financial oversight of the office administrators located in the Finance, Accounting and Analytics departments. This position serves as an advisory to the College of Business (COB) executive management team on human resources, faculty development and advancement and financial matters.
Manages departmental and Dean’s office processes related to Faculty Development & Advancement. Tracks and manages processes relating to promotion and tenure activities and reporting; specialized faculty promotions, annual faculty and adjunct evaluations, USPS/A&P evaluations, preparing and collecting reappointed faculty contracts, entering and reviewing faculty reappointments, offer letters, contracts, sign on bonuses, onboarding of new faculty, terminations, monitoring and reporting on Sustained Performance Increases and Evaluations, sabbatical coordination and reporting, tracking and coordination of faculty and staff merit increases. Develops data collection and recording methods for information storage and retrieval.
Responsible for formulating, reviewing, and recommending policies and procedures to ensure sound fiscal management, quality control and adherence to the university policies and procedures. Responsible for the management and oversight of all departmental administrative processes. Serves as backup to departmental Office Administrators when long-term vacancies arise.
Tracks recruiting activities across Finance, Accounting and Analytics departments and analyzes hiring trends. Works with departments and college administrators to identify appropriate job classifications for positions and guides in the development of the position description. Participates in the development of and is responsible for creating, maintaining, and disseminating COB policy, procedure and job aid documentation relating to human resources and financials.
Highly visible representative of the College of Business and the Office of the Dean through correspondence and meetings. Develops and carries out communication procedures for dissemination of University and Dean’s Office directives related to human resources, faculty development and advancement, student central activities and financials. Creates reports for upper management, department chairs and program directors regarding faculty/staff retention and turnover and financial data. Serves as AOR and FACET representative for the COB Dean’s office and back up for department representatives supervised. Serves in the absence of the UBA Assistant Director.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to six years.
(Note:or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Experience reviewing and reconciling data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Experience working with Microsoft Office, Excel, and other applicable computer applications.
Experience training and supervising employees.
Knowledge of principles, practices, and standards of human resource administration in assigned area.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of the principles and practices of fiscal control systems.
Anticipated Salary Range
High 30's to low 40's, commensurate with education and experience.
Pay Plan
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Schedule
If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
