PBS NC is in search of an Assistant Copy Editor/Copywriter to support the full-time Copywriter in their duties of maintaining the voice of the PBS North Carolina brand. Through copy editing and Proofreading, this position maintains content accuracy through a variety of broadcast, print & digital media.

UTS-Temporary Copy Editor for PBS-TV (RTP)Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, Part time (20-30 hours a week)Other Work/Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: Copy editing of recurring blogs, Copy editing/revising emails, agendas, marketing materials, copy, press releases, scripts, speeches, and white papers. Upholding and expanding internal style guide.
Minimum Experience/Education
5+ years of proofreading copy editing and writing experience, including but not limited to: marketing and advertising, digital, scripts, press releases, content and/or correspondence
Department Required Skills
- Organization and time management skills, can prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
- Excellent editing, proofreading and grammar skills; familiarity with the AP Style Guide
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Portfolio with editing and writing examples
- Familiarity with InCopy a plus
- Experience in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Communication or related field
