Communication Specialist/American Sign Language Educational Interpreter ANTICIPATEDAllen Brook School has an opening next year for the 2024-2025 school year. This opening is for an Educational Interpreter, or Communication Specialist, to use American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English as a means of enabling students with hearing differences to fully participate in regular education settings. Applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills, strong technical skills in American Sign Language (ASL)* and ability to work within a team to share responsibilities of implementing student instructional programs (e.g. monitoring and reporting on a students ASL growth).

Candidates should be able to collect data as directed by a special educator, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality. Experience working with school age children is preferred. This position is 7.75 hours a day for 194 days.
