We are seeking an eager IT professional to support research and development projects across a variety of network environments in our Research and Exploratory Development Department (REDD). As a member of our team, you'll collaborate with other engineers throughout the entire life-cycle of computing devices and software. As a Systems Administrator...

  • Your primary responsibility will be to configure, install, and maintain Windows and Linux computer systems in several mixed use environments.
  • You will maintain the technical security posture of computers in a mixed operating system environment based upon information security requirements and data classifications.
  • You will research, diagnose and resolve sophisticated computer system software and hardware issues as they arise
  • You will audit and supervise systems for security vulnerabilities and other security irregularities.
  • You will build and update documentation for team collaboration, user education, and security CONOPS.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Have experience working with both Windows and Linux systems administration.
  • Experience with Enterprise Windows based servers and Active Directory
  • Experience with VMware or other virtualization software
  • Are skilled in organization and effective communication with managers and technical staff
  • Experience directly supporting the Department of Defense or other U.S. government entities
  • Have a current DoD 8570 certification (Security+ or CISSP), or ability to obtain DoD 8570 certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Hold an active Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have...

  • Extensive knowledge of Red Hat Linux
  • Working knowledge of Tenable.sc or Nessus vulnerability management
  • Familiarity with Netapp ONTAP data management
  • Skills with Powershell, Ansible, or other automation tools
  • Previous experience running a High Performance Computing cluster focused on Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
  • Previous exposure to running Splunk Enterprise and building dashboards
