Peraton is searching for a talented Field Support Services Specialist to become part of Peraton's Citizens Security & Public Services.
Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:
- Resolve complex technical software and hardware problems for desktop PCs, laptops, peripherals, network printers, mobile devices, telecom services, and email services.
- Adhere to strict time scales and escalate incidents within defined windows.
- Utilize standard incident management tools like ServiceNow, HP Service Manager, Remedy, or CA Service Desk to review, assign, resolve, log comments, and close tickets.
- Respond to service support calls from remote users and resolve issues using remote connectivity tools.
- Troubleshoot VPN/RAS connectivity and connection problems.
- Address Microsoft patches, corporate software deployments, group policies, and antivirus issues.
- Support OS patching when required, and possess familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and Proxy Services.
- Understand Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange Corporate Email Systems.
- Demonstrate strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with 1 year of experience
- US Citizenship
- Proficiency in using incident management tools such as ServiceNow, HP Service Manager, Remedy, or CA Service Desk.
- Strong understanding of VPN connectivity and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Exchange Corporate Email Systems, and Active Directory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work within strict time frames.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
