Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Program Management Specialist in the College of Education- Human Development and Quantitative Methodology (HDQM) supports the programmatic and administrative functions of the department.

This position provides administrative support to the chair and directors of the department, as well as support for initiatives regarding scheduling and events, APT, overseeing the reception area of the HDQM business office, and more. Duties for this position include scheduling, collection of course syllabi, event coordination, travel administration, office management, and administrative work.

This is a full-time in person role.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelors degree

Experience:
  • Two years experience in administrative staff work.

Other:
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities under tight deadlines while performing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while working with individuals across all levels of the organization
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, and Google Suites.
  • Ability to take inventory, and carry out ordering with outside vendors
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience with Drupal
  • Experience with the university APT process

The position requires the heavy use of a computer and the ability to function in an extremely busy and complex atmosphere. This role requires the ability to meet the physical demands of the role including lifting up to 25 pounds, plugging in equipment, and working around furniture
