Technical Associate I, Wang Lab

Job Description

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, McGovern Institute for Brain Research, to join the laboratory of Professor Fan Wang and conduct research on the neurobiology of sensorimotor behaviors. Responsibilities include mouse colony management, mouse surgery, mouse behavior training and testing, cryosection and histological staining experiments, learning to perform in vivo recording and imaging, and analyzing recording and imaging data. Will be trained to acquire different technical skills used in the Wang Lab.  

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in neurobiology, biology, bioengineering, biochemistry or a related field; two years of experience working with rodents in a research setting (may include experience gained as undergraduate and/or doing post-graduate work); excellent communication and organizational skills; meticulous attention to detail; and the ability to work relatively independently, juggle multiple tasks, and be prompt. PREFERRED:  experience working with mice in a research setting.  Job #23809
