The Recruitment Specialist will recruit, support, and assist with enrolling students interested in short-term certificate programs as identified by the Talent Ready and Work Ready state grant programs. This individual will do outreach and answer lead generation forms of students who are interested in quick to career academic programs. This individual will develop relationships and connect with academic divisions to be able to speak in-depth about programs and offer tours or other events to prospective students to meet enrollment targets for the identified programs of the Talent and Work Ready programs. This specialist will also support the functions and activities of the Admissions team as needed.

The minimum salary for this position is $55,674 and is determined commensurate with experience. This position is grant funded and contingent upon the funds associated with the respective grants.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with the Admissions team and local organizations to identify, recruit, and enroll student in to short-term academic programs as identified by the Talent and Work Ready Grant projects to fulfill workforce needs
  • Interacts and monitors progress of talent ready and work ready prospects to convert them to enrolled students through one-on-one communication, preparation of admitted student materials and correspondence, and conversion events
  • Create plans to increase student interest and enrollment in the identified Talent Ready/Work Ready programs
  • Develop new contacts with external organizations for the purpose of expanding recruitment pools for identified short-term programs
  • Works in partnership with Admissions Adult Recruitment team to coordinate outreach to local organizations and offer a suite of services/supports to meet company needs
  • Actively recruit new students into short-term programs through the usage through fairs, presentations, and workshops
  • Work as part of a team to organize, publicize, and facilitate usage of short-term certificate pathway programs
  • Report on status prospects, enrollees, and completers of Talent and Work Ready grants to executive leadership at Sinclair and partner organizations
  • Manage student recruitment relationships through the CRM database, communication plans, emails, etc
  • Manage and track grant usage and student progress for these funding initiatives
  • Promote the opportunities and value of utilizing short-term certificate pathways through presentations, meetings with student groups, orientations, and workshops
  • Participate in department and college committees or activities
  • Create, maintain and grow relationships with academic divisions to offer deeper program level recruitment support of identified Talent and Work Ready Grant programs. This includes offering tours of spaces, answering RFI forms for identified programs, and setting up student meetings with faculty of programs as needed
  • Represents the department in professional associations to promote the objectives of the college and the department
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in corporate recruiting, staffing, business development, consultative business experience, sales or related field is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in college admissions or career services required
  • Experience working with adult students and local organizations preferred
  • Knowledge of adult student needs, career development theories, careers and employment trends, and job search techniques preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with prospective and existing partner employers, ability to collaborate on business strategy and rapidly build trust and credibility preferred
  • Excellent persuasive consultative selling skills preferred
  • Previous working knowledge of web-based content delivery, information exchange, and CRM database tracking systems preferred
  • Prior experience working with Dayton and Cincinnati region business and organizations preferred
  • Excellent listening, writing, and oral communication skills required
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously required
  • Ability to work occasional evening hours and weekend special events required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license required
