POSITION TITLE: Lab Assistant I

POSITION SUMMARY:
General lab support including basic biochemical analyses; plasmid, tissue, or gel prep; spectrometry. Responsibilities include general lab support such as basic biochemical analyses; protein purification, plasmid construction, tissue culture, gel preparation and Western blot analysis. Glassware washing; autoclaving; media, solution, and buffer prep; replenishes supplies and perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained and a minimum of 1+ years of related experience.
• or Associate degree, (scientific discipline) and (0-1 year), previous related experience required.

COMPENSATION:

The expected hiring range for this position is $16.30 to $19 per hour, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
