Responsibilities*

The School of Nursing at the University of Michigan School is seeking an experienced, positive, highly motivated, and organized person to work on a short-term project focusing on the Occupational Health Nursing certificate program. You will work closely with the Director of the program on the following:

  • Assist with developing a website for the Occuational Health Nursing Program
  • Assist with trainee activities
  • Assist with data collection about the program concentration
  • Attend regular team meetings related to the progress of the project
  • Assist with literature reviews and writing sections of working papers

Required Qualifications*

  • Natural curiosity and excellent critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time, organize and complete multiple tasks and met deadlines
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently within a team of researchers
  • Strong computer skills and interest in learning and training in new software are critical

Supervision is received from the PI.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Enrolled or graduated with a bachelor's degree
  • Software knowledge: Excel, Word and PPT
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to receive and convey information clearly and concisely for various mediums

Attributes

  • Candidate must have excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision with diverse teams of people in a diplomatic, collaborative and effective manner.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills with analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.
