We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and analytical candidate to support our Advanced Subsea Capabilities portfolio. We are looking to push the boundaries of subsea and seabed warfare by providing critical support to our sponsors and fleet users. Your contributions will drive the Navy toward success in emerging domains and warfare areas. You will join a hardworking team of engineers, subject matter experts and software developers in an inclusive environment that values creative collaboration and innovation.

 

As an Advanced Subsea Capabilities Engineer/Analyst you will...

  • Support the exploration, development, testing, and operational employment of innovative and impactful technologies including: new mission payloads, sensors, detection algorithms, vehicle infrastructure, communications systems, AI/ML, and data management solutions in support of subsea and seabed warfare.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners on the development, testing, and evaluation of new subsea capabilities.
  • Travel (10%) in support of sponsor and fleet customer collaborations and evaluations.
  • Apply Undersea Warfare (USW) domain expertise to support the testing process in identifying and assessing new technology applications and capabilities to inform future development. You will research, investigate, and experiment with next-generation technologies and develop creative new CONOPS.
  • Collaborate with system developers and analysis team members to ensure test scope, analysis methodology, measures of performance and data required to execute analysis are comprehensive.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for this position if you...

  • Have relevant experience in undersea systems or operations, and training associated with detailed operational employment.
  • Possess a BS degree in Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Are passionate about applying relevant experience and analytical skills in an innovative and collaborative environment.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and are skilled at developing relationships across organizational teams.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Are proficient at multi-tasking, prioritizing assignments, communicating progress and meeting deadlines.
  • Are willing to travel to participate in events at sponsor or customer sites.
  • Are able to obtain Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

 

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Possess a MS degree in Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Are Submarine Warfare qualified.
  • Have 5+ years of experience leading a technical team.
  • Have previous experience with evaluation of U.S. Navy systems performance.
  • Have a strong background or previous experience in data management, engineering, signal processing, or mathematics.
  • Have an active Top Secret or higher level clearance.
